Susan has been winning awards in her design and artwork since 1986. She started showing in galleries before she 15 years old and has been established as a Master ever since. Susan was the first person in the world to have a specific technique that she drew on black paper (according to the Colored Pencil Society 1986). Thus Susan had a head start and became known as a Master in fine art in colored pencil.

Trained in all forms of art, Susan enjoys many different kinds of artwork
to express herself in her spare time.

Below are colored pencil work that has been featured in galleries and museums world wide as well as some more personal rarely seen before water color paintings that are more recent.

Susan is available for commission work upon inquiry. Please contact Susan at:

Dignity

by Susan J. C. Alveshere

My fascination with India has gone on for some time now. India is rich in tradition and wonderful and beautiful tradition that has spanned so many generations of a glorious people. There have been continuing stories that come from this country that inspired me to throw myself into the research and love of this land and it's people. Thus I produced the artwork entitled, Dignity.

Every year spring comes around and the beauty and loveliness of the grander of the season hits my artistic heart with the joy of color and freshness of nature. This is just one example of one of my many artistic renditions of some garden or place that I have been to and wanted to absorb. For more examples from my floral series please go to:

Endurance

by Susan J. C. Alveshere

Very few have seen this piece, although it is one of my favorites. There is a very funny very human story as to why this has become one of  my hidden artworks. It was on display at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center in California when I found out that my translation was incorrect. In embarrassment I took it down from the show as well as we pulled all the reproductions from the galleries, fully intending on pulling out the wording and making the corrections. It still remains unfinished today.

This was one of several pieces of art that is part of my Peace and Unity series that started in the beginning of the century for me. Political freedom and peace for all people was my inspiration for this series. For more information on this piece and the other Peace and Unity art please go to:
